I remember this well as the owner was a Kiwi called Peter Price and his father just happened to be the headmaster at Rotorua Lakes High School where I was teaching, before coming to Goroka.

Talk about coincidences!  If I recall correctly the enterprise was a little gold mine for the owners.

The Goroka Museum

The Museum held some good artifacts, particularly the stone tools.  It also traced the development of the Eastern Highlands and the journeys of the Leahy's.
